1. Registered Nurse – Intern: This position offers a unique opportunity for newly qualified nurses to gain practical experience in various healthcare settings within the county. The intern will be responsible for providing nursing care, supporting medical staff, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
2. Orthopaedic Trauma Technician (Plaster Technician): The role involves assisting in the treatment of patients with bone fractures and other orthopaedic conditions. The technician will be responsible for applying and removing casts, as well as providing care instructions to patients.
3. Health Records and Information Management Assistant: This position focuses on managing patient records and health information systems. The assistant will ensure that all health records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained, playing a crucial role in the efficient operation of the county’s healthcare services.
4. County Director of Health: A leadership role that involves overseeing all health services in the county. Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board (CPSB) is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act, 2012 pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Section 59 of the County Governments Act 2012 outlines the functions of the CPSB among them being “appoint persons to hold or act in offices of the County Public Service including in the Boards of cities and urban areas within the County and to confirm appointments”
