The County Public Service Board of Nyandarua wishes to recruit competent and qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions in the Department of Health Services.

1. MEDICAL OFFICERS JOB GROUP ‘M’: 3 POSTS: TENURE: 3 YEARS RENEWABLE CONTRACTS

Roles and Responsibilities;

1. Diagnose, care and treat clients
2. Perform medical and surgical procedures
3. Prepare and respond to emergencies and disasters
4. Participate in management of medicines, medical instruments and equipment
5. Provide health education and
6. Teach and coach medical students, nursing students and clinical officer interns
7. Preparation of clinical documents for legal and medical purposes

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:

1. Bachelors in medicine and surgery degree from a recognized institution by MP&DC
2. Successfully finished one year internship
3. Be registered by MP&DC
4. Valid practicing license
5. Be computer literate.

2. REGISTERED CLINICAL OFFICER III JOB GROUP ‘H’ 20 POSTS – TENURE: 3 YEARS RENEWABLE CONTRACTS

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Taking appropriate patient history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients in both inpatient and outpatients setting.
2. Implementing community health activities in liaison with other health care workers.
3. Guiding and counselling patients on preventive and promotive health issues.
4. Conducting minor procedures consistent with training and skills.
5. Collecting, compilation of patient clinical data.
6. Patient referral as appropriate.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:

1. Diploma in Clinical Medicine and surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution  
2. Certificate of Registration by Clinical Officers Council 
3. Valid practice license 
4. Be computer literate.
