1. MEDICAL OFFICERS JOB GROUP ‘M’: 3 POSTS: TENURE: 3 YEARS RENEWABLE CONTRACTS
Roles and Responsibilities;
- Diagnose, care and treat clients
- Perform medical and surgical procedures
- Prepare and respond to emergencies and disasters
- Participate in management of medicines, medical instruments and equipment
- Provide health education and
- Teach and coach medical students, nursing students and clinical officer interns
- Preparation of clinical documents for legal and medical purposes
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
- Bachelors in medicine and surgery degree from a recognized institution by MP&DC
- Successfully finished one year internship
- Be registered by MP&DC
- Valid practicing license
- Be computer literate.
2. REGISTERED CLINICAL OFFICER III JOB GROUP ‘H’ 20 POSTS – TENURE: 3 YEARS RENEWABLE CONTRACTS
Roles and Responsibilities
- Taking appropriate patient history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients in both inpatient and outpatients setting.
- Implementing community health activities in liaison with other health care workers.
- Guiding and counselling patients on preventive and promotive health issues.
- Conducting minor procedures consistent with training and skills.
- Collecting, compilation of patient clinical data.
- Patient referral as appropriate.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution
- Certificate of Registration by Clinical Officers Council
- Valid practice license
- Be computer literate.
