Laikipia University was granted a Charter by His Excellency Hon. Mwai Kibaki, C.G.H, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces of the Republic of Kenya, on 19th February 2013. The Main Campus is located 50 km from Nakuru City on Nakuru – Nyahururu road.
In pursuit of its mission and core mandate, the University wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies:
1. Driver I Responsible for operating university vehicles to transport staff, students, and other stakeholders safely and efficiently.
2. Driver III Assists in transportation duties, maintaining vehicles, and ensuring adherence to traffic regulations and university policies.
3. Senior Supply Chain Management Officer Manages procurement processes, oversees inventory, and ensures compliance with supply chain policies and regulations.
4. Principal Human Resources Officer Leads the HR department, manages recruitment, staff development, and ensures adherence to labor laws and university policies.
5. Lecturer – Statistics Teaches and conducts research in statistical methodologies, data analysis, and applied statistics.
6. Lecturer – Peace and Conflict Studies Educates students on conflict resolution, peacebuilding strategies, and international relations.
7. Lecturer – Information Studies Instructs courses in information management, library science, and digital archiving.
8. Lecturer – Communication and Media (Specialist in Photography, Electronic, Visual) Teaches communication theories and practices with a focus on photography, electronic media, and visual communication.
9. Lecturer – Procurement, Logistics, Supplies, and Chains Management Provides education on procurement processes, logistics management, and supply chain strategies.
10. Lecturer – Economic Theory, Econometrics, and Applied Economics Delivers courses in economic theory, quantitative methods, and practical applications of economics.
11. Lecturer – Physical Education Teaches physical education courses, promotes fitness, and conducts research in sports science.
12. Lecturer – Education Communication Technology Focuses on the integration of technology in education, e-learning strategies, and instructional design.
13. Lecturer – Agronomy Instructs students in crop science, soil management, and sustainable agricultural practices.
14. Lecturer – Livestock Production Teaches animal husbandry, livestock management, and veterinary science.
15. Lecturer – Philosophy of Education Educates students on educational theories, philosophy, and ethics in education.
16. Lecturer – Research, Measurement, and Evaluation Teaches research methodologies, data analysis, and educational assessment techniques.
17. Lecturer – Information Communication Technology (ICT) Provides instruction in ICT principles, programming, and systems analysis.
18. Senior Lecturer – Geography Teaches advanced geography courses, conducts research, and supervises graduate students.
19. Associate Professor – Information Communication Technology (ICT) Engages in high-level teaching and research in ICT, contributing to the development of the department.
20. Associate Professor – Chemistry Leads research and teaching in chemistry, focusing on innovative scientific advancements and practical applications.
