Remember Jeremy Allen White once met Marvel for a meeting that never went anywhere? Well, that might be a thing of the past if new MCU rumors are anything to go by.
Realistically speaking, if you’re on Hollywood’s radar, you’ll inevitably end up in a Marvel movie. Anyone who is anyone has had a cameo, with Phase 6 only just about to get started.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret Wars are all next up, and the latter two have likely only given away some of their expected cast. But the studio is always thinking years ahead, and that includes projects that haven’t been made public yet.
According to new rumors, one face we could see have a superhero future is Jeremy Allen White, who’s about to lead The Bear into its fourth season. While details are next to none, the move could put speculation about his last Marvel meeting to bed.
Jeremy Allen White tipped for Marvel role as new rumors fly
According to Hollywood scooper DanielRPK, Jeremy Allen White is being “eyed” for a Marvel role. Annoyingly, we don’t have any further details, but it might remind you of how things went last time.
“I had a meeting for a kind of Marvel-y movie, and I had an attitude,” White told GQ in 2023. “I think I played it all wrong.” White was apparently skeptical of the project, telling executives, “Tell me about why should I do your movie. They were like, ‘F**k you.’ And I was like, ‘Right on.’
“I am confused at how the pinnacle of an actor’s career has ended up in that place,” White continued. “They get really good filmmakers to do those movies and obviously they get really good actors to do those movies…I played it the way I wanted to play it.”
If reports are to be believed, both White and Marvel may have changed their tune about the other. The actor will also appear in The Mandalorian & Grogu next year.
Other upcoming Marvel projects include the untitled Vision series, Shang-Chi 2, and Black Panther 3.
For now at least, White can be seen in The Bear Season 4, which drops on Hulu on June 15, 2025. It’s set to answer two of the biggest questions since the show’s third season: what did the Chicago Tribune’s review of the restaurant say, and will Sydney leave The Bear?
