IShowSpeed in disbelief after Usain Bolt offers streamer private training sessions

Jamaican sprinting star Usain Bolt hit up YouTube icon IShowSpeed and offered to coach the streamer to help improve his running skills as he faces callouts from top athletes.

IShowSpeed is one of the most popular streamers on the net — but he’s also one of the most athletic content creators out there, known for feats like attempting to break the world record for doing the most backflips in 24 hours and jumping over not one, but two speeding supercars.

Speed has gone toe-to-toe with major athletes in the past, such as Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles, managing to keep up with the runner in a $100K footrace that he ultimately lost.

Despite taking an L, Speed has continued to boast about his skills, getting into online ‘spats’ with names like NFL star Tyreek Hill and even getting challenged by Canadian football player Alphonso Davies.

IShowSpeed is familiar with a slew of top athletes, such as NBA legend Kevin Durant, who he appeared with in a commercial for Dick’s Sporting Goods earlier this year.

While Speed is no stranger to some of the world’s top athletes, having appeared in a commercial with Sunisa Lee, Kevin Durant and Tom Brady, he was stunned to get a DM from none other than Olympic sprinting legend Usain Bolt.

IShowSpeed accepts Usain Bolt’s private training offer

Speed was streaming his trip to Europe for the Champions League on May 30 when he showed off an Instagram message from Usain Bolt, who offered to coach him now that he’s retired.

“We can link up any time,” Bolt offered. “I’m retired now, so I’m not running, but I can coach you to go faster. You’re already fast, but everybody wants to be faster, right?

“Yooo!” an excited Speed shouted, clearly hyped at getting an offer from one of the world’s fastest runners of all time. “Private training with Usain Bolt!”

He quickly responded, sending the athlete a voice message agreeing to lock in a time to get together to train. “Alright, bet, let’s lock that training session in. Usain Bolt, I love you. We’re gonna get this training session in this year.”

This is the latest big news for Speed after the streamer revealed his forthcoming Premium YouTube series, named Speed Goes Pro.

As you can probably guess from the title, the show pits Speed against some of the biggest names in sports, such as Tom Brady and Kevin Durant — both of whom he’s already worked with in an ad for Dick’s Sporting Goods.
