The Essex Model 07 is a brand-new Marksman Rifle in Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4, but you’ll have to put in some work to unlock it.
The meta in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone is set to look very different following the Season 4 update. Not only are there plenty of weapon balancing changes to adapt to, but there are also some completely new weapons that will be looking to knock the likes of the AMAX and Grau from their perch.
Fans of Black Ops Cold War will remember the FFAR 1 and LC10, which are both part of the Battle Pass, but the Essex Model 07 from BO4 is coming later. Here’s how to get your hands on the Marksman Rifle.
How to get Essex Model 07 in Warzone & BO6
The Essex Model 07 can only be unlocked through the Ballerina event, which begins on June 5, one week after Season 4 goes live. This in-game event takes place across multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies, and all you need to do is earn XP to receive free rewards.
It hasn’t been confirmed exactly how much XP you’ll need to get the new weapon, but it will likely be one of, if not the last, rewards to be unlocked. The event runs until June 12, but if you miss out, don’t worry, it’ll be an Armory Unlock after that.
The Essex was a pretty deadly lever-action rifle back in Black Ops 4, boasting a high damage balanced by a slower rate of fire. If the devs’ description is anything to go by, it’s set to be very strong once again, especially in multiplayer.
“Inflict heavy critical point damage with this lever-action tactical rifle,” said the blog. “An ideal tool for the new sheriff in town, this classic armament offers smooth handling with shots that quickly recenter after kicking up.”
The rifle will also come with a number of different lever options that buff various stats, including the ADS speed and general movement.
