Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is the next major update after the Star Wars season, bringing a new superhero theme and some iconic DC characters.
After a month of fighting the Empire, Star Wars Galactic Battle is set to end with the Death Star Sabotage event. This explosive finale brings the mini-season to a close, and will be followed by the arrival of Chapter 6 Season 3.
As always, the update will introduce a fresh theme, new map locations to discover, and, of course, major crossover characters. Here are the early patch notes of everything we’re expecting to see in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, including when it arrives.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 start date
The Chapter 6 Season 3 update is due to arrive on Saturday, June 7, 2025, following the Death Star Sabotage event. It hasn’t been confirmed when exactly the new season will get underway, but the live event begins at 11 AM PDT / 2 PM EDT / 7 PM BST, so it shouldn’t be too long afterwards.
There is often a period of downtime between seasons, which can last a few hours. However, sometimes the servers are offline for an extended period of time, so keep checking Epic’s official channels.
Theme
According to a number of leaks, Season 3 will feature a “superhero academy” theme. This is far from the first time that Fortnite has used comic books as inspiration, but DC will be taking center stage this time around, with a number of iconic characters appearing — most notably David Corenswet’s Superman.
There will also be plenty of original heroes and villains, some of which will likely revamp familiar Fortnite faces, both in the Battle Pass and on the island as NPCs.
New map locations
As always, a new season means a major overhaul to the map. Leaks have already revealed two major POIs coming to the island — Utopia City and Fortress of Solitude.
Utopia City is said to replace Seaport City and will be a futuristic metropolis not too dissimilar from Mega City. This time, however, there will also be underground labs to poke around in and a superhero school to track down.
Meanwhile, Fortress of Solitude is the icy home base of Superman, which will reportedly replace Masked Meadow. Expect this location to be full of comic book Easter eggs and nods to Clark Kent.
Characters
As mentioned before, Superman will be the face of Chapter 6 Season 3, and he will use the same likeness and suit from James Gunn’s upcoming movie starring David Corenswet. According to ‘Shiina,’ he will be part of the new Battle Pass, but it remains to be seen if he’s available right away or if he comes later.
He’s also expected to have his own Mythic item, which transforms you into the Man of Steel, and gives you access to his powers of flight, strength, and heat vision.
Another familiar face that’s been revealed is Robin, Batman’s faithful sidekick. While Superman, Batman, and many other DC heroes have all appeared in Fortnite in the past, this marks the first time that any version of the character has shown up.
From the leaked images, it appears that this is the third iteration of Robin, Tim Drake, rather than the more well known version like Dick Grayson and Jason Todd.
