Following a serious punch to the head by one of his bodyguards, George Obregon Jr., a young white fan, for merely asking for a picture, Nardo Wick issued an apology.
Rapper Nardo Wick was doing an outdoor performance in Ybor City this past Sunday when the altercation broke out. Security struck George Obregon Jr. in the head as he was going out back to take a quick selfie with his favorite rapper. Obregon Jr. meets Nardo in the video, and as two men approach the teenager, he asks for a quick picture. Security quickly jumped on the boy and punched him so hard he hit the ground almost immediately! Any parent watching this video is left completely heartbroken watching this incident go down.
“My son wanted a stupid (expletive) picture with his favorite artist … and this is what he gets,” she said. “As a mother, I am begging you to help get justice for George Obregon Jr. Anyone who knows my son knows he is the sweetest and gentlest kid ever. No drugs, alcohol, gang, nothing! I am dying here and my (expletive) heart is hurting so bad I am sick to my stomach.”
Tampa police detectives say they are interested in speaking with those who took videos circulating on social media as well as standbyers who witnessed the beating.
A video is going viral of a Tampa kid who was punched unconscious by his favorite rapper’s security. The poor teen went to see his favorite rapper Nardo Wick when he wanted to get a quick selfie. That’s when he was beat by Nardo Wick’s security and his mother extremely upset about the situation. She’s saying it happened for no reason and now he’s laying in ICU with brain bleeding after being left unconscious.
Obregon was taken to a hospital outside the county where he reported the battery to police. He is listed in critical but stable condition.
Obregon’s mother, Michelle, posted a video of the incident on Instagram, begging for witnesses to come forward.
