The fan-favourite Shapeshifters promo is set to return in EA FC 25, bringing another batch of powerful special cards to Ultimate Team.
Team of the Season may be over, but there’s still plenty more to look forward to in EA FC 25 before the next game arrives. There’s a summer of international football ahead, which will likely bring even more exciting events.
But before all of that, the popular Shapeshifters promo is coming back after being missing from FC 24. Here’s everything you need to know about it, including when it’s due to start and the leaked players so far.
When is FC 25 Shapeshifters?
EA FC 25 Shapeshifters is expected to arrive on Friday, June 13, 2025, the same day that Ultimate TOTS comes to an end. This is yet to be officially confirmed, but given that new promos always drop on Fridays, it’s the most likely date.
This is backed up by Season 8 being titled “Shapeshifters,” which strongly suggests that the event will drop sooner rather than later. We’ll be sure to update this section as soon as we get an announcement.
What is Shapeshifters?
Shapeshifters is a popular event in Ultimate Team where players receive wacky cards with different positions than they’re used to. So, expect to see center backs leading the line, and strikers playing out wide.
For example, in the current Season Track, there’s a CDM Fikayo Tomori, who usually plays as an out-and-out defender. This event tends to arrive towards the end of the season, as it throws realism out the window and has a bit more fun.
Of course, there will also be the usual influx of objectives, SBCs, and Evolutions to complete, giving you plenty of ways to improve your team with meta cards.
