Running out of FP in Elden Ring Nightreign sucks. For a Recluse, a Revenant, or just a Duchess who loves flashy moves, it usually means trouble. Or that you’ll have to melee enemies with a magic build.
And Nightreign changes a few things from the base game, some mechanics are new, others got tweaked.
We don’t want you to get stuck mid-fight with an inopperative Nightfarer, no matter how high they’re ranked in our Nightreign tier list That’s why we’re here: to walk you through every way you can restore FP, whether you’re exploring, mid-boss fight, or just prepping for one.
Replenish FP in Elden Ring Nightreign
The easiest ways to restore FP are resting at a Site of Grace, consuming Starlight Shards or Cerulean Crystals, touching blue flora, or getting the Estus Flask.
That’s a lot, huh? Let’s go over each of them one by one.
1. Resting at a Site of Grace
The old reliable. Look for those gold spots in the world (or gold circles on the map) to find them.
Sitting at a Site of Grace refills both your health and FP. Super dependable, but not helpful in the middle of a fight unless you’re willing to run away.
2. Drink a consumable
The second option is to drink an FP-restoring consumable, like Starlight Shards, Cerulean Crystal Tears, and Cerulean Hidden Tears.
- Starlight Shards restore a good chunk of FP, but you can only carry a few at once, so save them for when it really counts.
- The Cerulean Crystal Tear gives you a big FP refill.
- The Cerulean Hidden Tear makes all spells/skills cost zero FP for a short time, which is amazing during boss phases where you want to go all-out.
These are all consumables you’ll find around Limveld. Check chests, smash crates, or buy them from merchants.
3. FP-Restoring plants
Look for glowing blue plants or trees with little blue flowers. Touching them instantly restores FP.
They’re great while exploring, but they disappear once you reach the final boss.
4. Passive gear effects & other RNG options
Some weapons, relics, or talismans restore FP in cool ways, like:
- When you land a critical hit
- When you take damage
- Over time
These effects depend on your build and a bit of luck finding the right gear. We’ve got a nice list with the best weapons for each character in Nightreign.
Defeating powerful enemies sometimes rewards you with “Dormant Power,” which you can equip for passive bonuses, including FP restoration. Again, it’s RNG-based.
5. Recluse’s skills
If you’re playing the Recluse Nightfarer, you’ve got some special tools:
- Elemental Defense (passive): Restores FP when you absorb elemental energy (like fire or magic), even from your own spells.
- Magic Cocktail (skill): Lets you convert stored elemental energy into FP.
- Soulblood Song (ultimate): Marks enemies, hit them, and you restore HP and FP for your whole party.
6. Unifying Fate upgrade for Estus Flask
Sometimes during boss fights, a creepy invader called an Augur shows up. If you defeat them, your Estus Flask gets upgraded to heal both HP and FP at the same time. You can’t control when this happens; it’s random. But once you get it, it’s permanent.
And that’s every way to refill your FP in Elden Ring: Nightreign. Mix a few of these methods into your build, and you’ll spend a lot less time staring at an empty FP bar and a lot more time casting, slashing, and surviving.
If you’re tired of looking at the Revenant’s white dress, or if you can’t stand the Guardian’s feathers, you can always change their skins in the Fitting Mirror.
