A young mother was found dead in a forest in Phetchaburi province with suspicious circumstances surrounding her demise. The woman’s husband expressed doubts about the official suicide ruling, pointing to unusual bindings on her wrists.
Yesterday in the dense woods of Tha Yang district, Phetchaburi province, a tragic scene unfolded as the lifeless body of a young mother was discovered, igniting a whirlwind of controversy and suspicion. Found with white nylon rope knots binding her wrists to nearby trees, the scene raised more questions than answers.
The deceased’s belongings, including a bag containing several plastic bags, were found not far from her body, alongside a pair of black sandals at the base of a tree.
The woman’s husband doubts that his wife would take her own life, especially given that the distance from their home to the scene was over 3 kilometres, which he found odd. He is now left grappling with the police’s standpoint—a ruling of suicide that doesn’t sit well with him.
Today, March 28, Police Colonel Kamalas Arunphakmongkol, the chief of Tha Mai Ruak Police Station, reiterated the initial assessment. According to the evidence team, there were no signs of struggle or foul play, leading law enforcement to lean towards a self-inflicted cause of death.
However, the husband’s scepticism is echoed by family members and locals, who also find it hard to accept that the young woman would end her life, especially in such a manner that involved her wrists being tightly bound. His sister-in-law voiced her concerns, mentioning the young mother’s occasional disappearances from home, but nothing that would indicate a tragic end, reported KhaoSod.
The young mother, whose 11 month old child is now left in the care of relatives, is remembered with sorrow and confusion by her family. As they prepare for the religious rites at Wat Khao Luk Chang, they are also wrestling with the unsettling details of her passing.
