A man claiming to be a police inspector groped a woman in a well-known Pattaya bar, before quickly fleeing the scene with his friends when a police officer arrived. The victim immediately reported the incident to the police, prompting an investigation.

At 2.36am today, July 9, Pattaya City Police received a report of an indecent act at a popular entertainment venue on South Pattaya Road, Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri. Responding officers arrived at the scene to find a bar with patrons gradually exiting. Among them was the distressed victim, 39 year old Aim.

Aim recounted that while she was enjoying her drink and listening to music at a Pattaya bar when a group of approximately ten men approached her. One of them, introducing himself as an inspector named Bee from Rayong, engaged her in conversation and clinked glasses with her. She explained she was just being polite as common courtesy.

“I was just being polite since I’d never met him before.”

The man returned to his table but soon came back and, without warning, reached into her shirt and groped her, leaving her shocked.

As Aim began to protest, the suspect’s associates stood up and threatened her, shouting, and attempted to use his fraudulent position as a police officer to manipulate her.

“Do you know who he is? He’s a police officer!”

Aim retorted, questioning whether being a police officer gave him the right to molest her. Aim quickly notified the police of the indecent acts.

However, the group of men quickly fled through the back exit upon spotting the uniformed police. Aim has since filed an official complaint, and an investigation is underway to bring the man posing as an officer to justice, reported KhaoSod.
