“Now let me tell you something I’ve learned since becoming a mother,” she said. “There’s nothing my child loves more than things that aren’t hers.”

The mother turned the camera to her daughter, who was sitting in her walker playing with a red silicone whisk.

“Exhibit A. What do we have there?” she asked.

“It’s a good thing I got a two-pack on Amazon because she will literally play with it all day.” She loves her whisk.”

Stevens said her daughter’s love for her whisk gave her a “magical idea” for her Christmas presents this year.

‘I’m not going to buy toys. I think I’m going to use baking as a theme,” she explained. “I think I’m going to give her a bunch of rubber utensils to bake with because she loves them.”

The mother’s video has been viewed nearly 163,000 times and received more than 200 comments since it was posted on November 2.

Many parents loved the idea and suggested that in addition to the kitchen utensils, she give Kennedy a kitchen set to play with.

“Give her her first kitchen set and the rubber utensils to go with it,” one fan advised.

‘A good quality play kitchen! My daughter got one at her age and still plays with it now at age 6!’ someone else shared.

“I bought them for my three year old,” another added. (She) uses them in her kitchen and plays dough.”

Others may involve having toddlers who want to play with everything but their actual toys.

“There’s nothing my child loves more than the box that holds all their presents,” one parent commented.

‘My daughter had a fit until she got a vacuum cleaner for her birthday. Did I buy her a real one? Yes, I did,” another admitted.

“When my daughter was her age I did a daily box,” someone else responded. “I went around the house, collected three to four things and threw the box. I entertained her all day.”
