Kenyan musician Wilson Radido widely known as Willy Paul has sought to end the bad blood between him and fellow musicians Kevin Bahati and his wife Diana Marua, marking a turn towards reconciliation in what had become beef.
In a gesture aimed at peace, Willy Paul took to Instagram on Sunday evening, November 17, 2024, to extend an olive branch to the Bahati’s.
While reflecting on the past when they had the fierce war of words online, the Saldido CEO accepted his mistakes stating that he crossed boundaries when he involved Bahati’s family especially the kids in their altercations.
“Looking back on my experiences with my brother, I recognize that I have occasionally crossed boundaries. I hold the concept of family, particularly the children, in high regard,” Willy Paul reflected.
The multitalented musician went ahead and apologized to Diana and the kids adding that his actions were never intended to cause harm even though they were misinterpreted.
“My actions were never intended to cause harm, but I understand that they were perceived that way, and I sincerely apologize to Diana and the kids for the misunderstanding much love,” he apologized.
Despite being friends during their early days when both were gospel musicians, Willy Paul and Bahati have not been seeing eye to eye since the former and Bahati’s wife started online altercations to the point that legal actions were involved.
Genesis of the beef
The conflict between Pozze and the Bahatis had intensified over the past few years, capturing the attention of fans and followers across social media platforms.
The tension began in 2021 when Willy dissed Diana after Bahati launched her as one of the artistes under EMB Records.
While making fun of Diana’s rapping skills, Pozze made online claims about being in a relationship with Diana before she married fellow musician Bahati escalating the beef between him and the family.
Legal actions
In her response, Diana via her YouTube channel accused the artiste of sexual assault, allegations that prompted the court to order the mother of three to remove the video after Pozee filed a defamation suit against her.
Diana also sued Willy for cyberbullying ever since the two have been having back-and-forth legal drams until October 4, 2024, when the ‘Sitolia’ hitmaker announced that the case against him had been dismissed because the evidence was illegally obtained.
