Peter Miracle Baby of the disbanded Sailors music group has revealed why the collabo with Diamond Platnumz did not happen. In an interview with Mungai Eve, the talented singer said; “I wanted to do a collabo with Diamond Platnumz but he refused. He asked for a lot of money. At that time I would have had contact with Harmonize and we would have done a collabo. Both of them came at different times, they wanted to participate in Wamlambez, but I did not have their contact.”Speaking to SPM Buzz, Mwalimu Racheal who was previously the Manager of Sailors said that managing Sailors is her biggest regret in life so far.
“Supervising sailors is one of the biggest regrets. Have you ever been arrested by the police? I have,”she said.
However, she insisted that if she had to go back, she would never have agreed to do the job.
A while back, she revealed that because of the controversy where she was accused of blocking access to Sailor’s YouTube channel she and her daughter received online death threats that shook them.
“The negativity I got online has really shaken me. My daughter and I have received death threats from fans because of the YouTube channel,” she said.
During their dispute, in 2019, Mwalimu Rachel was accused of killing gangtone’s music career, adding that Sailor’s fans kept contacting her employer to get her fired. The group has since gone their separate ways.
According to his account, these individuals, who operated both locally and internationally, made a strategic decision to undermine Sailors’ music.
The group’s unique sound and style, known as Gengetone, was seen as a threat to the dominance of other genres within the Kenyan music industry.
