Kenya Power has listed areas that will be affected by planned power outage today.
According to a statement issued by Kenya Power on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the planned blackout will affect seven counties.
The temporary power interruption, which will affect normal operation in the affected areas is part of network maintenance.

Counties to experience blackout
In Kiambu County, the power blackout will affect the whole of Ndula, Kolping, Kilimambogo Teachers, Magogoni, Kiboko Farm, Kenchic, Makutano, Jawabu Quarry, Helena Quarry, Ndula, Delmonte, Rubiru, Fourteen Falls, Market, Kenchic, Dimken Farm, Duka Moja, Ngoliba Market, Ngoliba Sec, NYS, Kithimani Market, Kabaa Market, Wings Quarry, Valem Quarry, Rubiru, Macvast Market, Kwa Jimmy Market, Market, Kabaa Market, Chui Rapids, Kahonoki, Nginyi Pumps, Twin River Est and adjacent
customers from 9.00 am to 5.000 pm.
Other areas set to experience the outage in the same county at the same time include; Gatuanyaga, Landless, Kisii Estate, Leather Industries, Landless, Thika Barracks, Macheo, Gatuanyaga, Salama, Pakjel, Ananas Mall, Makongeni Police, Umma University, Thika Nursing, Makongeni Phase 4, Rexo Petrol Station, Part of Kamenu Est, Muguga, Gatuanyaga Primary and adjacent customers.
In Uasin Gishu County the scheduled blackout will be experienced in Langas, Kisumu Ndogo and adjacent customers from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
The 9.00 am to 3.00 pm blackout in Kakamega County will affect the whole of Bukhulunya, Kakamega High, Scheme Settlement, Maraba, Parts of Joyland, Meteorological, Shikhambi, Lurambi and adjacent customers.
In Homa Bay County the power outage will affect residents of Kikubi, Nyandiwa, Ngeri, Nyagwethe, Kisegi, Kikubi, Nyandiwa, Italian Scout, Godbura, Kagoro and adjacent customers from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.
The planned power interruption in Nyeri County is set to affect areas of Munyange, Miirini, Gituiga, Miiri Market, Munyange, Njigari Market, Kanini TBC, Gituiga TBC, Wanjau Market, Munyange H/Center, Karandi Forest and adjacent customers from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Other areas that will also experience the blackout in the same county from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm include, Kiawarigi, Gitunduti, Kanyama, Kiamaina, Unjiru, Kiawarigi, Ichuga, Gathumbi, General China, Gathuini, Itiati, Kianjuguma, Kihuri, Gikore, Gitunduti and adjacent customers.
In Meru County, the 8.00 am to 5.00 pm scheduled blackout will affect residents and traders in Kiengu, Kinna, Garbatulla  Kiengo, Kiutine, Kinna, Garbatulla, Benane, Kula Mawe, Barabate, Meru National Park, Kaboito and adjacent customers.
The residents and traders of Nyakianga, Kenya Njeru, Nyakianga Market and Health Centre, Njumbi High School, Gikoe Market and Safaricom Booster, Gondo, Mihuti Market, Kenya Njeru, Karunge and adjacent customers in Murang’a County will experience power interruptions from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
