It is not the first time for local celebrities to appeal for help from members of the public. People might think that because of their celebrity status, regular gigs and the good pay the get in events , their wallets may be loaded. But this is wrong as such comedians also struggle.
Eliud Lagat famously known as Tapnyolei Rosaline is a famous comedian in Kalenjin especially in the parts of Uasin Gishu County. If we had ceremonies throughout, you would think that he is a woman based on his voice and dressing.
His form of comedy involves dressing as a woman and cracking jokes like women from the rural areas. He closely works with Senge Helena, Brobox and Arap Uria.
Lagat has come out to appeal for help from Kenyans. While holding a placard, he reveals what is ailing him and why he needs help. The comedian said that his eyes have an issue.
He added that he went to Tenwek Hospital in Bomet and he was told by the doctors that he needs urgent organ transplant. Rosaline has said if he doesn’t get urgent help, he is going to get blind.
“Help me my people, I don’t want to be blind,” he wrote. He said the required amount for the treatment is Ksh580,000. May God help Rosaline.
His friends, Tula, Arap Uria, Senge Helena among others have shared the information as they appeal Kenyans to help their fellow comedian.
