Vikings safety Camryn Bynum was left red-faced on Sunday after recovering a fumble and racing into the end zone against the Lions.
The 25-year-old thought he had scored a crucial touchdown for Minnesota after Detroit quarterback Jared Goff was tackled during a pass attempt.
Goff spilled the ball and it was collected by Bynum, who raced clear and then celebrated a touchdown by executing ‘the worm’ in the end zone.
Unfortunately for safety, the officials looked at the play again and ruled that it was in fact an incomplete pass – rather than a fumble.
That meant Goff got a reprieve while Bynum’s extravagant celebration was in vain.

Unfortunately for Bynum, the officials decided it was in fact an incomplete pass from Jared Goff
The safety, a fourth-round pick in the 2021 draft, had the same celebration after picking off a pass from Brock Purdy against the 49ers in October.
There was no such outburst for the Seahawks on Sunday, with Titans running back Derrick Henry showed the finesse and poise of a veteran quarterback as he threw the ball for a touchdown.
With Tennessee tied 0-0 against the Seattle Seahawks early in the second quarter, Henry seemed poised for one of his signature runs.
But the 6-foot-4, 247-pound running back collected the ball, took a few steps to his right and prepared to throw.
Henry completely overwhelmed the Seahawks defense and threw a perfect pass over them towards the end zone.
