Victoria Beckham has spoken candidly for the first time about her and David’s intimate vow renewal ceremony.
The fashion designer, who has just launched her first fragrance collection, shared an unseen photo of the special day when her husband completely surprised her in 2006 with the intimate romantic gesture.
In a new promotional video for her Suite 302 fragrance, the 49-year-old explained the inspiration behind the scent, describing it as a representation of her and David’s “love affair with Paris.”
The former Spice Girl told how David flew them from London to Paris for a romantic 24-hour minimoon, as she teased: ‘that is what crazy James Bond s**t that crashed on the plane, let me tell you’.
She said: ‘I really had no idea. It was the most romantic thing he ever did.”

The star cut an elegant figure as she shared a photo of the beautiful Roberto Cavalli dress that David had chosen for her to wear to the ceremony.
Victoria explained that the family was living in Spain at the time David conceived the romantic ceremony.
“When we lived in Spain, we were dropping the kids off at school one morning, I had a tracksuit on, yes I had a tracksuit on,” she joked.
‘David said to me “I’m going to take you somewhere for the day”, so we drive to the airport. We get on a private plane.
‘Halfway through the flight, David goes to the bathroom and he comes out in a tuxedo, looking so handsome and he says, “There’s something for you to wear in the bathroom.”
‘I go into the bathroom and there’s a white dress hanging there, so I put the dress on, put on some make-up and I come out and the plane lands and it lands in London.
“I get off the plane and there is the chauffeured car that we drove to our wedding years ago, when we got married at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland.”
The couple first married in 1999 at the luxurious castle for their world-famous wedding.

Revealing how David recorded details of their original special day, she said: ‘Same car, same driver, we drive to our house we used to have in North London and we had a little chapel in the grounds.
“We go into the chapel and he has the whole chapel covered in flowers, my parents were there, his parents were there and our sisters and my brother. And we got the pastor who married us all those years ago to remarry us.
‘We renewed our wedding vows and I honestly had no idea. It was the most romantic thing he ever did.”
After the ceremony, the couple flew to the city of love, where they enjoyed a minimoon in the French capital.
“And then we went back to the airport, we got back on the plane, I have no idea where we’re going, and we land in Paris.
‘We had a mini honey moon that literally lasted 24 hours in Paris. We stayed at the Ritz, suite 302.’
When discussing the scent of the namesake fragrance, she said, “I knew I wanted a heavy scent, I knew I wanted exactly what we created which was a black cherry, leather tobacco and you can really smell all the notes and every time weather. I smell this scent, it takes me back.
‘I mean, what a wonderful thing to do. I mean, that’s something crazy James Bond s**t that crashed on the plane, let me tell you’.
