Ulrika Jonsson reveals she is feeling more single than ever as she describes her ‘Christmas misery’: ‘I’ve never felt further from the prospect of a delicious snog’

Ulrika Jonsson opened up about being single this Christmas, admitting she's finding it difficult to play 'happy families' during the festivities.

The Swedish presenter, 56, revealed she is not looking forward to Christmas this year and is feeling the single blues.

The model wrote her article in Fabulous Magazine and described her as 'Christian'.

She confessed: 'To add to my Christmas woes, I'm still a single Pringle. I have never been further away in my life from the prospect of a wonderful kiss under the mistletoe.'

Ulrika has been single since her 2019 divorce from third husband Brian Monet, with whom she shares son Malcolm, 15, after the couple split after ten years together.

The star admitted that while she would love to have someone to drink hot chocolate with on Christmas morning, she will instead be alone with her two bulldogs.

She admitted she is tired of Christmas being so hyped every year and believes the Christmas workload is still largely down to the role of women.

From grocery shopping to cooking, buying and wrapping presents, Ulrika revealed she barely has time to breathe at Christmas.

The star said she normally does a big Swedish Christmas, but in reality she finds playing happy families at Christmas tiring.

She admitted, “Someone always had a problem with someone else and playing happy families is exhausting.”

She continued: 'The reality (of Christmas) brings so much tension that I'm tempted to get sick.'

Ulrika added that the commercialism and pressure society puts on Christmas makes her feel overwhelmed.

The star has been married three times and has four children.

Her first marriage to cinematographer John Turnbull was in 1990 and they have a son, Cameron, 29.

The presenter's second marriage in 2003 was to Lance Gerrard-Wright, who at the time took part in her TV show Mr Right. They share a daughter, Martha, 19.

The mother-of-four also has a daughter, Bo, 23, with ex-boyfriend hotelier Marcus Kempen, whom she divorced in 2000 after two years.

Last month, Ulrikka said she feels sexier than ever at the age of 56, after learning exactly how to feel good about herself.

The television presenter emphasized that growing older is 'fantastic', despite society suggesting otherwise.

The former Gladiators host claims that feeling good about yourself doesn't come from wearing a little black dress and makeup, but from simply learning how to put aside what is not useful to herself in life .

She wrote inside The sun: 'Maybe easy to say, but it really is the truth. The “sexyness” I'm talking about doesn't come from an LBD, sexy underwear, heavy makeup, or a new trendy haircut.

'It comes from deep within. It comes from recognizing that I now really know what I want in life – it's not something that gets blurred by the lines of demanding offspring or an inept partner or even a desire to please other people.

'No, it comes from realizing that I don't have time for BS in my life anymore.

“If it comes near me, I'll turn it down, because honestly, this time it's about me.”

She added, “That journey is one of self-confidence and assertiveness, which in turn turns into allure and magnetism.”
