Phyllis Mbuthia is a renown Kikuyu gospel musician who has moved from grass to fame through hard work and determination within the shortest period of time. Some days ago she told her followers that her YouTube channel was hacked and brought down. She went ahead and gave Kenyans a hint of who that person might be.
As a result of this Phyllis has been taken to court and she is being charged with defamation of someone’s image. According to the legal letter she received, the payment for punitive and aggravated damages is summing up to 499,500 Kenyan shillings. She has therefore been given seven days to pay the damages and send a public apology letter with the same intensity as what she posted defaming him.
