Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has responded to social media critics who are comparing his newly completed mansion to a shopping mall.
Taking to his Instagram stories, the Yes Bana hitmaker noted that these were the exact problems he had been looking forward to.
“Unaamka unapata unatrend sababu umejenga nyumba kubwa inakaa kama mall, God knows these are the problems I was wishing for,” Khaligraph Jones wrote.
Khaligraph had shared an adorable photo of him and his mother relaxing in the living room of his massive new home.
However, instead of admiration, some netizens turned his achievement into the subject of humorous debate comparing it to a mall.
Some even went so far as to photoshop images of his home, adding shops and storefronts to make it resemble a mall.
This is not the first time the rapper has had to address the same critics. In October 2023, Khaligraph said he was just focused on completing his house.
“Wacha nitafute pesa nimalize nyumba. Sikujua mjengo unaeza patia watu wengine content. Nitawachokesha sana lol,” he quipped.

In an interview in November 2022, Khaligraph said he was building a huge mansion to show his success.
“I show my successes because it’s something that wasn’t shown by guys who were here before us,” Khaligraph said.
“I’m building a home to show other musicians that it’s good to invest because, with this industry, things can change, but if you have a place to call home where you don’t pay rent, it’s safe for the family,” he added.
Khaligraph also explained that the construction of his mansion was progressing slowly due to financial constraints.
Radio presenter and former rapper Gidi Gidi shared his awe at the size of Khaligraph’s mansion, which he stumbled upon while driving.
He expressed excitement at the prospect of having Khaligraph as a neighbour and commended his hard work and investment in the property.
Gidi Gidi also praised Khaligraph for his dedication and encouraged fellow artistes to invest wisely, citing Khaligraph as an example of someone who has seized opportunities and set high standards.
