The View’s Ana Navarro is bashed for her ‘hypocrisy’ as fans accuse her of ‘throwing’ her VERY lavish Christmas getaway in their faces: ‘We barely have enough to survive… keep it to yourself!’

The View host Ana Navarro has been criticized and branded 'privileged' by her followers after sharing updates from her Christmas holiday in South Africa.

Ana, 51, wasted no time last week and headed out with her husband Al Cárdenas as soon as the hit ABC daytime show went on a celebratory break, telling her fans on Instagram that she was off to “see this big, beautiful world.”

However, not everyone was impressed with Ana's regular updates and one person even accused her of throwing the holiday in their 'face', while another told her: 'Keep it to yourself.'

On Sunday, Ana shared several photos and videos from her time in South Africa with Al, 75, praising the culture for their “sounds, colors and tribes,” but while many complimented Ana on her “beautiful” photos, others were not opinion. back.

“It must be nice to do everything you do and then stomp it in our faces? We barely have enough to survive and you're just throwing it in our face!!!! (sic), one person furious.

'Say you're privileged without saying you're privileged… hypocrisy much???!!!' wrote another Instagram user.

'Really, Ana, keep it to yourself, you think others enjoy seeing what they can never do in their lives!!! Do you pay in advance????? I used to like you on the view, but I don't think so now. None of the others do this (sic),” a third person claimed.

Someone else admitted: 'She's certainly very lucky, but I'm enjoying what I'll never see.'

However, others were quick to defend the brunette TV star, as one wrote: 'I love that you share your travels with us and that you teach those who don't know the history of the places you visit.'

And another said: 'You're on my dream holiday, enjoy it,' and a third said: 'Thanks for sharing this with us!! This trip is on my bucket list.'

Ana also left her followers divided with some comments she made about zoos in Africa after spending the weekend seeing animals in the wild.

With some photos of their journey through the wilderness she wrote: 'About today. There is something magical about seeing wildlife. Every time I come to Africa I fall in love all over again.

'I've never been to a zoo since the first time I was there. I just can't stand wild animals in captivity. It's so sad. And I have such contempt for those people with small brains, small hearts and small penises who think that hunting these animals is some kind of macho sport, or then kill them for their skin, tusks and horns. Just terrible.'

She continued, “I would like to see them take on a lion or an elephant without a gun. My money is on the lion. We must protect these animals and their habitats. We owe it to future generations.

'PS- I'm sure bird people know, that bird is called a Secretariat. He hunts snakes. It's fascinating and apparently not easy to see in the wild. I could watch it all day,” she added, referencing a video she shared.

While many supported her stance, one particular person wrote, “An amazing journey. I agree with everything except the comment about the zoo. Good zoos provide a great service by educating, helping to raise awareness of our environment and endangered species, and helping to prevent the extinction of many species through thoughtful supported breeding programs.

'A good zoo is a good thing. If humans weren't so demanding and horrible, there would be more free-roaming beasts and we might not need zoos… but we'll never see that again,” one person added.

Another person bluntly suggested: 'Maybe try Veganuary. If you love animals so much, don't eat them. Instead of visiting Africa, visit a slaughterhouse.”

The social media backlash comes after Meghan McCain threatened legal action against Ana and her co-hosts on The View following comments they made live on air earlier this month.

The pundit, the daughter of the late Arizona Sen. John McCain, threatened to do so after the hosts drew a comparison between her and Hunter Biden.

“I don't understand why my former colleagues bring up and vilify me on an almost weekly basis,” the columnist wrote in a post on

“I have never been accused of a crime in my life and am a patriotic American – I would never have exercised 'influence' in my life, let alone foreign adversaries.”

Meghan was responding to comments made by her former co-host Ana during a segment about Hunter Biden's federal tax case and its impact on his father, President Joe Biden.

Ana said on the show Thursday that Hunter Biden isn't the only person in Washington who “has influence over his last name,” adding, “People who sat at this table did it.”

This prompted co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin to ask who Navarro was referring to, before clarifying that she had been talking about previous hosts. McCain appeared on The View between 2017 and 2021.

Alyssa added: “We just wanted to clear our names,” while her colleague Sara Haines joked: Oh my God! Do I have a claim to fame that I'm not using?'

Meghan responded to X's comments, saying, “Not all politicians' children are the same – and I'm not Hunter Biden. All allegations are absurd, defamatory and libelous.”

She followed the post with another that read, “The View is an ABC News program. “I do not take it lightly when a news program suggests that I am engaging in criminal conduct, especially as a former employee of ABC News.”
