She is usually dressed to the nines when she presents The Project.

But 42-year-old Sarah Harris looked much more relaxed as she stepped out in Sydney on Saturday.

Along with her sons Paul, 7, and Harry, 5, the TV personality beat the scorching summer heat in ripped jeans, a sports bra and a Nike singlet top.

She completed her look with a black baseball cap and matching runners, as she pulled her hair back into a messy ponytail.

Sarah was seen parking her car on a busy road before taking her sons for a walk on the footpath.

The single mother has been splitting her time between Sydney and Melbourne since signing up to host The Project at the beginning of this year.

Speak with Stellar magazine in October, Sarah admitted her new gig has been quite challenging, especially when she flies to Melbourne for the show.

‘It’s been a lot. It was a really big adjustment,” she said.

“There’s a lot that goes into it: the logistics of working between two states, of working on the opposite side of the day, of thinking about a different kind of show.”

Unfortunately, Sarah’s addition to the panel did not deliver the higher ratings that producers were undoubtedly hoping to achieve.

Industry blogging website TV black box reported in October that this year the network endured the worst year ever in OzTam history since the ratings system began in 2001.

An insider told the publication that part of the problem is that the network continually struggles to retain viewers.

‘Ten has no returning fans. If so, why do The Project, MasterChef, HYBPA, Gogglebox, The Masked Singer and many more lag behind year after year?’ they said.

“They have no sport, the Melbourne Cup is gone. They can’t launch a new show – the most recent example: Shark Tank,” the source added.
