The next generation took center stage in Augusta on Wednesday, outshining their parents and grandparents in the annual Masters Par 3 Contest.
Golf stars past and present gathered for the iconic challenge, which serves as a preview of the first major of the year.
The Par 3 competition offers players’ family members the chance to join them on the course – and even steal the spotlight.
On Wednesday in Augusta, it was Ben Crenshaw’s grandson – dressed in the iconic white overalls and green cap – who provided an unforgettable moment on the greens in Georgia.
Crenshaw won The Masters in 1984 and again eleven years later. And it seems the 72-year-old has passed on his talents from generation to generation.

In front of hordes of Augusta patrons, the young Crenshaw stepped up to take on a monster putt, which stretched from nearly one edge of the green to the other.
Led by Bubba Watson, who helped the youngster line up the putt and move the putter head back and forth.
After sending the ball on its way, the youngster chased his ball as it raced down the hill towards the hole.
After it fell, the crowd around the hole erupted in celebration, as did Crenshaw’s grandson.
He gave high-fives and fist bumps to the other caddies and even clapped for his own achievement.
‘He’s got good genes!’ the announcer said. The remarkable putt came shortly after Watson’s daughter, Dakota, holed a putt from a nearly identical position.
