South Sydney Rabbitohs stars Cody Walker and Jai Arrow met Australian hip-hop artist The Kid Laroi while in America this weekend.

The popular musician, born Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, is a diehard Rabbitohs fan who grew up in Waterloo, right in the heart of South Sydney, before making it big.

Souths, currently based in San Diego, got Saturday off and Walker and Arrow decided to make the three-hour road trip to LA to meet the superstar.

“I grew up in Waterloo and the Rabbitohs are in my blood,” he said The Sydney Morning Herald.

“I love what the team stands for and am excited that people in the US will have the opportunity to see them play live in Las Vegas next weekend.”

Walker asked Laroi if he could FaceTime his son, who is a big fan of the rapper.

Walker’s son was delighted by the call, with the musician promising him box seats for his show the next time he visits Australia.

Laroi wanted to be present at the season opener, but unfortunately has tour commitments to fulfill.

However, his entourage plans to go to Vegas to watch the matches and see what the excitement is about.

Meanwhile, Souths have been very strict about players not overextending themselves while they have time off from training in San Diego.

Several stars have requested permission to visit Disneyland with their families, provided they ride a mobility scooter while there.

Rabbitohs whore Damien Cook is a star who agreed to ride a scooter while at the world famous theme park.

“Cooky has just come back from a soft tissue injury so it’s especially important for him,” Bunnies high-performance manager Andrew Croll said.

‘The guys actually came to us with the solution of renting scooters and carts, which is positive for us. The alternative was not to go, so they met us half way.

‘On a normal day the boys get their 10,000 steps, but if you’re at an amusement park you have to go through 20,000 steps and put on an extra eight to 10 kilometers on their legs.

“We’re trying to use the days off to freshen them up because we’re trying to peak for the first round.

‘Now it’s about getting their training load in and relaxing on days off. We have made a few demands on the boys who are there with their families. We want them to enjoy their time, but within reason.”

Other players and coaching staff, including forwards Keaon Koloamatangi and Sean Keppie, are also planning to visit Disneyland while they are in America – and have also agreed to rent scooters to get around the park.
