David Osiany and Syombua Mwele’s love story is one for the books, and it all kicked off with a bold and surprising proposal at Musyi FM.
David recently took to social media to share this sweet memory, and it has everyone swooning over how their romance began in such an unexpected way.
How did Syombua and David Osiany Meet?
The two met as interns at Royal Media Services—David was working as a presenter at Hot 96 FM, while Syombua was at Musyi FM.
They had a professional relationship that was cordial but not particularly close. Fast forward a bit: after David left Royal Media for a job at Oxfam, he found himself back at Royal Media for an interview at Ramogi FM.
He thought about Syombua and decided to drop by Musyi FM to see her, even though they hadn’t stayed in touch.
When David walked into the studio, and when Syombua arrived, he didn’t waste any time.
He hugged her, looked her straight in the eyes, and said, “You’re going to be my wife.”
Obviously, Syombua was completely taken aback.
David, after making this huge declaration, casually walked out, leaving her stunned and speechless.
Fast forward to today, and that bold moment turned into a beautiful life together.
David and Syombua have been happily married for nine years and are proud parents to two wonderful kids, Teko and Telo.
In a heartfelt birthday tribute to Syombua, David reflected on their journey, joking that if he had to do it all over again, he’d pay five times the dowry because he “hit the real jackpot” with her.
