The Block's Karstan Smith and Maxine Stokes announce the arrival of their newborn daughter and share adorable photos of their bundle of joy

Former Block stars Karstan Smith and Maxine Stokes have announced the arrival of their second child together.

The couple, who appeared on the 2014 series of The Block: Glasshouse, shared the exciting news to Instagram on Friday alongside a series of adorable photos of their baby girl.

‘She’s here ~ Meet ZENA our beautiful warrior Princess,’ they wrote.

‘We had 1 hour labour, 8 pushes and Zena ended up being what they call a stargazer (in a posterior position) ~ so the birth was extra painful!!’

‘Dad got a super special moment when he pulled out Ze into the world and cut the cord. And Zu is just so proud to be a big sis!!’

The couple continued: ‘We’re totally in a bubble right now but really feeling the love! Life’s damn good.’

In one photo, Karstan and Maxine smiled as they posed with their newborn baby and daughter Zuri.

They also shared an adorable photo of baby Zena wrapped in a hospital blanket.

The couple announced they were expecting their second child together in January, writing: ‘Sooo we’ve got some exciting news… Zu’s going to be a big sister!!’

Karstan and Maxine are currently living full-time in a Kombi van while travelling around the country with Zuri, who they welcomed in 2019.

Karstan and Maxine rose to fame after starring on the 2014 season of The Block. 

After six months of blood, sweat and tears, the pair placed third and walked away with $40,000 – a minuscule amount compared to the $736,000 pocketed by winners Steve and Chantelle.

The couple shelved their marriage plans after landing a spot on the reality show but eventually decided to say ‘I do’ during an episode of the show.
