The Block judge Neale Whitaker DELETES brutal spray at show producers after his emotional farewell speech was axed from premiere

The Block judge Neale Whitaker DELETES brutal spray at show producers after his emotional farewell speech was axed from premiere

The Block judge Neale Whitaker has deleted social media post in which he slammed producers for editing footage of his farewell speech during last Sunday’s premiere.

During the scene, the 61-year-old revealed to co-hosts Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer that he would be cutting back on his judging weeks, however his explanation as to why he was stepping away never made it to air.

Neale subsequently came out swinging against The Block’s editors for the ‘frustrating’ and ‘unexplained decision’ not to include the part where he revealed he was taking time off to care for his partner David – who was experiencing health issues.

This post has since been removed from his account, leaving fans wondering if he was asked to take it down, or whether he removed it on his own accord.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Neale’s management for comment.

The now-deleted post read: ‘There’s nothing more frustrating than an unexplained decision or an incomplete narrative – especially where health and family are concerned.’

‘This is what went to air tonight on the first episode of The Block’s 19th season, my 17th. I broke the news to Shaynna and Darren that I would be unable to join them each week and explained my reasons. It was an emotional conversation for all of us,’ he continued.

‘Unfortunately those important reasons didn’t make the cut so here goes,’ the interior design expert went on, before explaining that he’d chosen to ‘put family first’.

‘David, my partner of 20 years, has been experiencing some serious and ongoing health issues and we knew my place was at home, he said.

The decor expert clarified that David has made ‘great progress’ in his recovery, and that his ‘Block family have been fully supportive’ of his decision to step away.

Fans may remember Marty from the 2020 season of the show, when he sold Harry and Tash Pavlou’s stunning home.

To conclude, Whitaker promised that fans would see him back to normal on the show in 2024 for The Block’s 20th anniversary season.

Whitaker had previously announced he would be paring back his role on The Block to spend time with David in a similar Instagram post last month.
