Taylor Swift teases the release of her re-recorded Speak Now album in just 13 days

Taylor Swift teased the imminent release of her re-recorded Speak Now album with a new video on Saturday, after bringing The Eras Tour to Minneapolis on Friday. 

In a new Instagram video, the superstar, 33, can be seen pulling out a vinyl copy of the highly-anticipated record, which will feature six new songs, while rocking a pink, ombré bedazzled leotard. 

As she shows off the violet disc, the 11-time Grammy winner can be seen smiling, before proudly holding the record over her face. 

’13 days til we return Speak Now to its mother,’ she captioned the footage, nodding to the fact that in less than two weeks she will finally own the publishing rights to her third studio album.

The beloved album, first released in 2010, won two Grammy Awards for its single, Mean, and Favorite Country Album at the American Music Awards in 2011.

Earlier this month, the Cardigan hitmaker revealed that Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) would feature collaborations with Paramore singer Hayley Williams and Fall Out Boy.

‘I’m VERY excited to show you the back cover of Speak Now (my version)’ she wrote on Instagram and Twitter, sharing a photo that included the track list for the album.

The Love Story artist looked lovely in a lavender ballet costume with pink dance shoes in the cover art.

The release will include ‘the vault tracks and collaborations with Hayley Williams from @Paramore and @Falloutboy.’

Pete Wentz and Andy Hurley of Fallout Boy collaborated on a song called Electric Touch. Hayley added her voice to a track called Castles Crumbling.

The Grammy winner explained the significance of choosing the guest artists.

‘Since Speak Now was all about my songwriting, I decided to go to the artists who I feel influenced me most powerfully as a lyricist at that time and ask them to sing on the album.’

The Shake It Off singer had high praise for her new friends.

Moments after announcing the big news Spotify lead off the reactions writing, ‘Trying to remain calm (and failing)’ followed by a crying emoji and a heart emoji.

‘WE WANTED THE VAULT WE LOST,’ complained one fan in capital letters.

Another was elated, commenting in all caps as well.
