Taylor Swift fans barely contain their excitement as tickets for pop star's UK tour go on sale

Taylor Swift fans barely contain their excitement (and their nerves) as tickets for pop star’s UK tour dates go on sale at 11am TODAY

Taylor Swift fans can barely contain their excitement as presale tickets for pop star’s UK tour dates go on sale at 11am today.

Twitter is flooded with fans who are ‘praying’ that they manage to secure tickets to the singer’s Eras tour.

Fans have said they are ‘so stressed’ about getting tickets and alleged the ‘waiting room is being dodgy.’

Those who did not manage to secure access to today’s presale may have a chance to snag tickets during the general sale.

Last year, when fans tried to secure tickets to the US leg of the Eras tour, many Swifties were left brokenhearted in what was dubbed as the Ticketmaster queuegate.

A lucky number of Swifties were given presale access last week, allowing them to queue for tickets this morning.

Fans are limited to purchasing four tickets per transaction and can only buy tickets in the city they have received an access code for.

All tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis.

Despite having presale access, many Swifties remain fearful that they may not get tickets.

‘Fighting for my life in the taylor swift queue as we speak,’ one fan tweeted.

‘Praying for Eras tickets in front of my Taylor Swift shrine ahead of UK Midnights pre-sale,’ wrote one user, showing off his collection of album merchandise.

‘Good luck to people in the uk for getting tickets for #TheErasTour it’s gonna be a tricky one!’ another said.

One fan added: ‘Guys I’m in the queue for Taylor Swift tickets, everyone manifest for me.’

Others are fearful the Ticketmaster website may experience glitches, with one Twitter users advising: ‘For anyone struggling to get into the ticketmaster waiting room for taylor swift, just click the button once and wait, it’ll let you in eventually.’

Another suggested: ‘If you can’t get into the waiting room with chrome, switch to safari, i did and got straight in!!’

Some users have already claimed to be victims of technical difficulties.

‘Ticketmaster chucking me out as soon as I was about to pay has really pissed over my cornflakes,’ one wrote.

‘I was first in the queue for Taylor Swift tickets and Ticketmaster kicked me out of the queue for literally no reason. There goes my chance at tickets,’ added another.

General sale Taylor’s UK shows will kick off next week. Tickets will only be available from Ticketmaster and AXS and can only be purchased with an access code.

Ticketmaster has not specified a particular time the access code emails will be sent, only that it will be by July 14 in a staggered system to make sure the site doesn’t get overwhelmed.

Fans had to register by June 22 to try and secure access to the general sale.

Experts have warned fans not to accept offers of tickets outside the official routes of emails sent by sellers Ticketmaster and AXS.

Fans are urged to remain alert to fraudsters because they are a ‘highly attractive target for criminals’ due to the ‘phenomenal demand’ for her Eras Tour tickets.

Criminals bank on the popularity of tickets and establish their own fake versions and fake ticket sale sites in order to dupe consumers and make money.

Last week Taylor, 33, announced 14 new tour dates in Europe and the UK in addition to the concerts she had already had lined up in Dublin, Liverpool, London, Glasgow and Cardiff.
