The BBC staggered the announcements about the cast across a range of TV and radio coverage, with fans having to wait to see who will be paired with who.

The celebrities taking part in the series are Adam Thomas, Amanda Abbington, BBC News legend Angela Rippon and Angela Scanlon.

Love Island’s Zara McDermott, Annabel Croft, Bobby Brazier, Eddie Kadi, Les Dennis and Ellie Leach, will also take part.

It comes after Claudia Winkelman has revealed the foul-mouthed advice Strictly Come Dancing bosses gave her as she gears up for the brand new series.

The broadcaster, 51, who hosts the show alongside Tess Daly, 54, gave an insight into her work ethic at the Edinburgh TV Festival this week.

Telling the audience:  ‘My parents told me basically, “You just have to work incredibly hard and don’t be a turd”‘.

Before adding: ‘And one of my old producers on [spin-off show] Strictly: It Takes Two used to say two things in my earpiece before we started filming — “Don’t be sh**. It’s only telly” And I always try’.

Claudia also dismissed the idea she is one of the hardest working women in TV despite hosting BBC’s Strictly, The Traitors as well as Channel 4’s piano.

Known for her iconic fringe and love of fake tan she joked:  ‘All I do is paint myself orange and read from an autocue’.

Claudia previously hosted the show’s spin-off from 2004-2010 before replacing the late Bruce Forsyth on the main series in 2014.
