A 14-year-old girl who went to the private school in Sydney where Lilie James was murdered in a violent way, was tragically killed in a quad accident.

Peggy Richards, who was about to start year 10 at St Andrew’s Cathedral School, died after 5pm on January 8 at a rural estate in Goolhi, northern NSW.

The NSW police confirmed that the schoolgirl was the passenger of an UTV quad-which is larger than a normal ATV and designed to pull heavier loads-when it rolled into a water mass.

Paramedics tried to bring Mrs. Richards back to life, but she died on the spot.

The driver, a 50-year-old man, was taken to the Gunnedah Hospital for mandatory tests.

The director of the school, Dr. Julie McGonigle, told the parents that Mrs. Richards had died in a ‘fatal farm accident’ in an e-mail sent during the summer holidays.

Dr. McGonigle described Peggy as a talented design student who was ‘friends with everyone’.

“We are aware that this news will come as a shock and cause sadness and fear,” the senior teacher wrote.

“Peggy will be greatly missed. She was widely loved by her colleagues, and the staff who knew her best said, “Peggy had such a good heart.”

“She also had a thorough insight far beyond her years. Maybe that’s why she was so strongly driven to a future in design. ”

It was the second tragedy that turned the school upside down within three months after the 21-year-old Mrs. James was beaten to death by hockey coach Paul Thijssen (24) in the toilets of the gymnasium.

It is clear that the couple had a short relationship of five weeks before she ended it.

Thijssen had made an appointment with her in the gym of the school, where he was preparing agencies for the HSC exams.

The internal CCTV cameras of the school have recorded both Mrs. James and Thijssen who entered the bathroom of the gym after 6 pm, but only how he went outside two hours later.

The police assume that Thijssen brought his murder weapon to the Witte Lexus that he had borrowed or rented, and rode from the school to Vaucluse in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, where he arrived at 8.47 pm.

Thijssen threw the hammer away at Vaucluse and, after calling Triple-0 to report his crime, jumped off the cliff at Diamond Bay Reserve.

A trader who worked on a promenade over the cliff above Diamond Bay found the body of Thijssen clamped in the rocks below.

The death of Peggy Richards is investigated by the Crash Investigation Unit. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
