The internet has been ablaze with rumours of Sophie Anderton’s death. Known for her work as an English recording artist, online personality, and adult film performer, the truth behind these rumours has been a subject of intense scrutiny. Anderton rose to prominence in the porn industry in 2017, starring in films for Evil Angel and Fake Taxi.

Her real breakout moment, however, came in October 2018, when a video she shared with fellow adult film actress Rebecca More, known as “The Cock Destroyers,” went viral. Their online fame led to them being recognised as “gay icons” and subsequently cast in the lead roles in the MEN.com series Slag Wars: The Next Destroyer.

Anderson also made appearances on a number of podcasts where she discussed her life and career. Furthermore, she led a team on the Canadian OutTV sex education game show Fucking Smart, from 2022-2023.

Despite the speculation, the rumours of Sophie Anderton’s death were confirmed by her close associate, Rebecca More, who announced it on Instagram on December 4, 2023. The heartfelt tribute from More highlighted the unique times they shared and the special place Anderson would hold in her heart. Anderson was remembered as a “bubbly, funny, kind-hearted soul who was outrageous on the outside but also so gentle behind closed doors.”

During her time as an escort, Anderson boasted of having encounters with almost 80,000 different individuals. Her foray into adult films began in 2017 with three lesbian scenes in Fake Taxi. She later featured in the “Air Jordi” scene for Reality Kings with Jordi El Niño Polla, and her porn series on Television X was a topic of discussion on Calum McSwiggan’s podcast.

Sophie Anderton’s career was not without scandal and controversy. She admitted in an interview with Jeremy Kyle on ITV that she “probably” engaged in sex work. This followed a 2007 incident where she was caught proposing sex for money to an undercover reporter, which significantly affected her earnings and profile. The same year, she was exposed for using cocaine and making a £100,000 deal to sleep with a fake sheikh, leading to her filing for bankruptcy.

Born on November 23, 1987, in Bristol, England, Anderson had a difficult upbringing. She was abandoned by her mother at age five and raised by her father alongside her younger sister. She confessed to being emotionally abused by her mother who would intentionally buy her clothes that were too small. At the age of ten, she was raped, and during her teenage years, she would exchange sexual favours for alcohol and drugs at local pubs.

Despite her tumultuous childhood, Anderson developed a passion for musical theatre and drama, which led her to enrol at Bath College. She also worked at a massage parlour while still underage. Openly pansexual, Anderson was a strong supporter of the LGBTQ community. She further revealed her struggle with cocaine addiction, which she overcame after becoming pregnant and living in a drug house.
