Joy Behar was not such a joy when she met Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi — at least, that’s what the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star claimed on Thursday night’s (June 3) episode of Watch What Happens Live.

While appearing on Andy Cohen‘s show, the Jersey Shore cast played a game of Revenge of the Shady Duck Phone — a callback to the original MTV show’s iconic landline that was ultimately smashed by Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino back in 2012.

At one point in the revealing Q&A, the phone asked the stars for the rudest celebrity encounter they’ve had since Jersey Shore became a hit back in 2009. The show ran until 2012, before getting rebooted in 2018.

For the most part, the cast remained mum, with Angelina Pivarnick “[pleading] the fifth.” Meanwhile, Polizzi took one for the team as she yelled out, “Joy Behar!”

“Joy was so mean to me. She cornered me in the bathroom and said, ‘You’re not Italian!’” Polizzi alleged.

When Cohen asked for her response to The View co-host, the reality star replied, “I said, ‘OK, ma’am.’”

While Behar may not have been the biggest fan of the bunch, her View co-host Whoopi Goldberg can’t necessarily say the same. When the cast appeared on the hit daytime talk show earlier this week, the longtime moderator said she was “proud” of the group — and even opened up about the advice she gave them when they were first busting onto the scene.

“When [the Jersey Shore cast] first came [to The View], they were getting a lot of heat from people,” Goldberg said. “And I was so glad to see them ’cause they were fresh and they were just ready to do stuff and I said to them, ‘Listen. They’re gonna come for you. You just gotta stay strong, no matter what.’”

She added, “I just wanna say, I’m just so proud of y’all. Because you did not let them define you. You all defined yourselves, which is everything.”

Polizzi wasn’t the only one spilling tea about bad celebrity interactions on WWHL. After much hesitation, Deena Cortese claimed she and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola had a less than pleasant experience meeting who they referred to as a “national treasure.”

“Me and Sam had our separate thing. I love him. I truly love him. I love his wife,” Cortese began, before finally confessing, “Ryan Reynolds was not great to us. I love Ryan Reynolds, still. And I love Blake Lively. He, like, didn’t want to be by us. So I was like, ‘Oh, my god.’”

However, Giancola — being the sweetheart she still is — presumed the actor may have “had a bad day.”

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on MTV. Plus, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo.
