Skye Wheatley reveals why she and her boyfriend sleep in separate rooms after sparking split rumours

Skye Wheatley recently revealed she and her long-term boyfriend Lachlan Waugh sleep in separate bedrooms.

The Big Brother star, 29, made the shocking admission late last month, just a few weeks after sparking rumours they split up. 

Sharing a design video of the new house the couple were renovating together, she said they were both ‘super keen’ to sleep separately.

‘Still deciding whether or not I should move into the bedroom downstairs or keep the one upstairs. Lachy and I are super keen to have our own rooms,’ she wrote.

She later explained in the comments she and her boyfriend of six years had different sleeping schedules which made it difficult for them to sleep in the same bed.

‘Lachy is up at 3am and in bed by 8pm and I stay up late and wake up only when I need to for the kiddies,’ she said.

While most of the influencer’s followers were supportive of their sleeping arrangements, others weren’t so convinced. 

‘You will end up house mates and it’ll destroy your relationship. Sounds great in the beginning but literally killed my seven-year relationship,’ one person wrote.

Another added: ‘Separate rooms? What? Lol. Maybe when you’re 80.’

The admission came just a few weeks after Skye sparked split rumours when she referred to herself as a single mother to sons Forest, four, and Bear, one.

When fans flocked to her comments to ask if she and Lachlan had broken up, she insisted he had just gone on a trip to China.

However, the pair had left fans scratching their heads in February when she and Lachlan went ‘on a break’ and were ‘co-parenting’ their two children. 

Skye told her TikTok followers they agreed she would look after their sons for two nights, Lachlan would take them for the next two nights, and so on.

The arrangement, however, didn’t last and Lachlan quickly asked Skye to ‘come home’ so they could parent their boys together. 

‘Yeah, obviously, I don’t think he liked it. We like being together as a family. But I feel like for us, we just needed a break. Just a little break,’ Skye said.
