Sky Sports presenter helps Paddy Power punters land HUGE payout after correctly predicting 109/1 four-fold at the World Darts Championship

Paddy Power admitted they have been ‘taken to the cleaners’ after Sky Sports presenter Emma Paton correctly told punters to aim for a 109/1 four-way at the World Darts Championship.

The betting company is sponsoring this year’s Ally Pally Championship, with Paton providing daily tips for the day-to-day action of darts’ most prestigious tournament.

Paton guessed the correct four match winners on Tuesday and those who backed her selection received a surprise festive payday.

The first choice correctly predicted that Radek Szaganski would beat Marko Kantele 3-2 in the opening match, with the single choice coming in at 4/1.

Her second choice expected Irishman Steve Lennon to beat Englishman Owen Bates after securing a decisive fifth-set victory in the first round.

William O’Connor’s dominant win over Bhav Patel made it three correct guesses out of three with only one more result coming in and taking the quadruple place.

A Paddy Power spokesperson said: ‘Emma took us to the cleaners – and it’s all our fault! We wanted to bring a top-class brain to PP News to highlight our Ally Pally sponsorship, and we knew she knew her stuff.

‘But we didn’t show that she would be that good. She absolutely killed us and it’s only day five of the tournament! We barely added her to the IT system.

‘Emma tipped the selections as singles but we had punters who had combined them for a four-way and fair game for them, that’s what Christmas paid for.’
