This is the shocking moment a Jewish teacher had to hide in her Queens high school classroom as students rampaged through the hallways demanding she be fired for attending a pro-Israel rally.

Another video showed students running through the school hallways during the ordeal.
Students from Hillcrest High School in the New York City borough rioted at the school for two hours on Monday.
The incident arose after images emerged of a Jewish teacher at the school attending a pro-Israel rally.
A teacher at the school told the Post that administrators and NYPD officers rushed to the teacher’s aid and locked her room door.
In a statement to the New York Postthe teacher, who did not want to be identified, revealed that she had worked as an educator in the New York City public school system for 23 years.
She has worked at Hillcrest High School for the past seven years.
“I have worked hard to support our entire student population and be an advocate for our community,” she said.
“(I) was shocked to my core by the calls for violence against me that took place online and outside my classroom last week.
‘No one should ever feel unsafe at school, both students and teachers. I hope that in the coming days we can find a way to have meaningful discussions on challenging topics, while respecting each other’s diverse perspectives and shared humanity.
‘If we don’t learn to see each other as people, we will never be able to create a safe learning community.’
A senior student who spoke to the newspaper said it was the teacher’s support of Israel that fueled the aggression at the Queens high school.
“The teacher was seen holding an Israel sign, as if in support,” they said.
“A bunch of kids decided to start a group chat, expose her, talk about it and then talk about starting a riot.”
A four-day ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas began Friday in Gaza as part of a deal that Qatar helped broker.
Twenty-four hostages were released, including 13 Israeli nationals, 10 Thai nationals and one Philippine national, Qatar said. Israel released 39 Palestinian prisoners later in the day.

But the bloody war has claimed thousands of lives and led to an eruption of violent protests and clashes between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli supporters.
The Hillcrest high school riot was well documented online, with the chaos captured in a series of photos and videos.
They showed large groups of students congregating in the hallways of the schools, singing and running wildly.
In a video shared on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), students can be seen waving Palestinian flags as they jump up and down in the hallways.
Other footage shows the destruction of bathrooms as others tried to enter the terrified teacher’s classroom as she hid from the rioting crowd.
An educator who spoke to the outlet said Administrators and NYPD officers rushed in to render aid to the teacher after she locked herself in the classroom.
According to New York City Councilman James Gennaro, the NYPD sent officers to the school and called in their counterterrorism bureau to investigate.
“The counter-terrorism task force is not called in unless they think it is a potentially serious situation,” Gennaro said.
NYPD officers safely escorted the teacher out of the building, but senior students told the post they knew her phone number and home address.
Critics have the group of students where one person says they are “ashamed to be part of this generation.”

“This school needs to be investigated for its failures in education.”
Another commented: ‘Drive them all out.’
It comes amid growing levels of anti-Semitism in the city following Hamas’ deadly attack on Israel on October 7.
Last month, two construction workers took down a man they caught destroying kites showing Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas.
The men took action after witnessing a man pulling down fliers taped to light posts at the corner of 67th Drive and 109th Street in Queens.
You hear one of them say: ‘I’m not Jewish, he’s not Jewish. It does not matter. This is the USA, this is New York City.
“You have no fucking right to touch that stuff. This is a free country, you can wave your Palestinian flag and say death to the Jews or America whenever you want. But we can put up signs. Okay.’
Following this, there was also a large-scale pro-Palestinian protest in Brooklyn, with thousands of demonstrators closing the famous Brooklyn Bridge.
The ‘Flood Brooklyn for Palestine’ protest drew thousands of demonstrators holding up signs reading ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘Zionism is Terrorism’.
Other signs read: “Biden is financing genocide” and “occupation is a crime.”
Jewish people had been warned to avoid the area for their safety because of the protest, which also attracted members of the Orthodox Jewish community who led the protest.
