‘She is my sister’ – KRG defends ‘inappropriate’ video with Diana Marua

Dancehall singer KRG the Don has denied flirting with content creator Diana Marua after a video of the pair went viral online.

The short clip showed KRG and Marua seemingly ‘canoodling’ while singing along to one of his songs during a night out spurring mixed reactions from netizens.

All this time, Bahati who was also present appeared to be unbothered by the chemistry between his wife and the singer also referred to as “Buga”.

Speaking to Ankali Ray on Milele FM, KRG dismissed critics saying despite what the video might have portrayed, he and Diana are just friends and he has no interest in pursuing a romantic relationship with her.

He claims he is the godfather of Marua’s secondborn and she is like a sister to him. Further, he noted he doesn’t have her contact and only talks to her while in the company of Bahati.

“Diana ni sister yangu kimaisha. Nampenda sana. Mtoto wake wa pili mimi ni God father yake. Tulikua tu tunanongonezana. Tulikua tunadance tukienjoy. Siwezi mtamani na ata sina number yake. Tunaongeanga na Diana wakiwa na Bahati,” he explained.

KRG and the Bahatis have been seen together several times including in April when they joined the ruling party- UDA.

The two were received by UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala.
