Seth Nyakio Njeri, the daughter of Kirinyaga Nominated MCA Lucy Njeri, was found murdered in a rented house in Thika, Kiambu County, on October 14.
Her death comes barely six months after she survived a hit-and-run accident in Roysambu, Nairobi County. This raises disturbing questions: Was Seth Nyakio targeted? Did someone want her dead all along?
Seth Nyakio Before Tragedy Struck
Nyakio, a 23-year-old Zetech University graduate, left her family’s home in Kamakis on October 12, saying she was going to visit a friend in Thika.
When she didn’t return or answer her mother’s messages the next day, her mother became worried.
On October 14, Lucy Njeri received a terrifying call from an unknown person, telling her where her daughter’s body could be found.
Later that day, Nyakio’s naked body, showing clear signs of injuries, was discovered in a rented house in Biafra Estate, Thika.
Police suspect she was raped and then strangled.
Lucy Njeri is now facing unimaginable grief as she pleads for justice. “My daughter is gone, but I will not rest until justice is served,”
But who is responsible for Nyakio’s brutal death, and why?
Seth Nyakio Hit-and-Run
This wasn’t the first time Seth Nyakio’s life was in danger.
Six months earlier, she survived a hit-and-run accident on Lumumba Drive in Roysambu, Nairobi County. A white SUV struck her and fled, leaving her severely injured.
A good Samaritan witnessed the incident and rushed her to the hospital, saving her life. The driver has never been caught.
At the time, Lucy Njeri warned the driver: “You will not hide forever. You knocked my daughter and almost killed her, then ran away. If you are wise, reveal yourself before the law catches up with you.”
Now, with Nyakio’s murder, the question resurfaces: Could the hit-and-run have been more than just a tragic accident?
Or was someone targeting her then, and could her death be connected to that incident?
A Love Gone Wrong?
Police are also focusing on Nyakio’s relationship troubles, suspecting her ex-boyfriend may have orchestrated her death.
The two had broken up shortly before she was murdered, and investigators believe jealousy may have played a role.
Nyakio’s mother supports this theory, convinced that her daughter’s ex could be involved.
“Someone wanted her dead,” Njeri painfully stated.
“She had already survived one attempt on her life; this time, they succeeded.”
Was Nyakio’s murder just a tragic coincidence, or was it part of a larger, sinister plot?
