DailyMail.com obtained the list of financial transactions through a Freedom of Information Act request.

At the time, the presidential bodyguards were spending $30,000 a month to rent a property next door to Hunter’s, where he lived with wife Melissa Cohen and son Beau.

The Spanish-style ocean view villa had six bedrooms, a swimming pool, tasting room, gym, spa, built-in barbecue and ‘castle-like tower’. It was valued at $6 million.

It took the Secret Service two years to provide the data to Dailymail.com. During that time, Hunter’s legal troubles have dominated headlines.

He faces a federal tax charge, and on Friday a judge rejected a bid to drop charges that he lied about his drug addiction when he bought a gun — a saga involving the Secret Service.

The data covers a 16-month period between February 2021 and June 2022.

The total spent in that time frame was $4,596,747 – that doesn’t include officer salaries, which are also paid by taxpayers.

There were two orders – one for $1,930 and another for $1,658.43 – from a video and camera store in New York.

It was not clear why a New York store was used when the agents protected Hunter Biden on the West Coast.

One of the camera store orders claimed by officers was marked “exterior materials.”

Other expenses include $145 spent at Home Depot in Venice, California, and $40 at an Amazon Hub safe at a Ross Dress For Less budget clothing store, also in Venice.

It is unclear how many officers stayed there and for how long.

The spending record begins a month after Hunter’s father Joe Biden was inaugurated as president, when members of the first family are said to have been given full security details.

A Secret Service property listing where the expenditures took place describes “picturesque gardens,” a “sunken living room around a huge fireplace” and “hand-carved doors, artisan tiles, [and] antique style bar with stained glass inlay.

The agent described it as ‘A magical Mediterranean resort style home with ocean views.’

It was originally built in 1958 for actress Linda Lavin, star of the 1970s sitcom Alice.

“With many outstanding achievements, Linda Lavin has made this home a perfect reflection of her talent,” said the gushing real estate agent.

The data ends in June 2022, meaning a similar amount could have been spent in the eighteen months since.

When asked about the data, a Secret Service spokesperson said the agency does not go into details about spending and operating procedures.

“The primary mission of the U.S. Secret Service is to ensure the continuity of the U.S. government,” the spokesperson told DailyMail.com

His Secret Service handler had to follow him and move into a $16,000-a-month house across the street with an ocean view and a hot tub.

Secret Service agents have previously done their jobs to provide protection for President Joe Biden’s wayward son.

Texts from Hunter’s laptop from 2018 show that a recently retired senior USSS officer was about to break open the door of Hunter’s hotel room to look at him after he failed to come out following a days-long drug and alcohol fueled binge with whores.

And the same year, when Hunter’s sister-in-law and former lover Hallie Biden dumped his gun in a grocery store trash can in Wilmington, Delaware, Secret Service agents allegedly intervened in the subsequent police investigation.

Biden’s family isn’t the first to saddle taxpayers with huge bills to protect their families.

USSS requested an additional $60 million to pay for protection of Donald Trump and his family in the first year of his presidency, according to documents obtained by the Washington Post.

Trump was criticized for ordering the agency to house agents who protected him and his family at Trump hotels and properties around the world, including $650 a night for a room at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club and $17,000 per month for a cottage at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey.

President Biden also rented his Delaware home to agents for $2,200 a month while they protected him, federal records show.

An Obama family trip to Martha’s Vineyard in 2016 cost the Secret Service $2.7 million, including $2.5 million on hotels and $90,000 on rental cars.
