Bang Lamung Police apprehended a suspect in connection with a perfume theft from a karaoke venue worker yesterday.
The suspect, identified as 33 year old Jakkrapan (surname withheld), was arrested at his residence in the Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri province.
The arrest follows a theft incident on February 29 in South Na Kluea. CCTV footage depicted Jakkrapan, donning a black shirt, red cap, and white jeans, riding a black Honda Wave motorcycle, as he approached a karaoke shop around 3.57pm. Within minutes, he purportedly spied a parcel containing perfume outside the shop, swiftly snatching it and fleeing the scene on his motorcycle.
The victim, a karaoke shop worker, promptly lodged a police report, valuing the stolen perfume at 1,000 baht. Initially confessing to the theft, Jakkrapan guided officers to recover the stolen item, alongside the attire worn during the incident, stating unemployment as his motive. He disclosed leaving the parcel at home upon realising its contents were merely perfume, reported Pattaya News.
Jakkrapan is presently in custody and awaits further legal proceedings for his alleged misdeeds.
In related news, the arrest of a 21 year old woman, identified only by her nickname Khem, has made headlines as she was apprehended for her involvement in a motorcycle theft gang.
The capture took place at a residence in the district of Krathum Baen, Samut Sakhon province, after an extensive investigation led by the authorities. The operation was initiated under the direction of high-ranking police officials from the Bangkok Metropolitan Police Division 9 and the Phetkasem Police Station.
In other news, police arrested a perverted Thai man at an apartment in the Bangkok Noi district of Bangkok on February 12 after two decades of women’s underwear theft. Police seized nearly 600 items as evidence. A Thai woman filed a theft report at Bang Yi Khan Police Station officers at night on Sunday, February 11.
