Samidoh responds after Prince Indah called for his deployment to Haiti

Luo Benga singer Prince Indah suggested that Samidoh should be among the 1,000 police officers that the government intends to deploy to Haiti.

In a post on Facebook, Prince Indah shared a photo of Samidoh clad in full police uniform and asked his fans if the Mugithi singer-cum-police officer should be included in the Kenyan mission to the troubled Caribbean island nation.

Haiti

Several Kenyans have poked holes into the government’s decision to lead a Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission in Haiti.

Early this month, Nairobi Senator and ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna issued a statement explaining why the party was opposed to the deployment of Kenyan police to the troubled Caribbean island nation of 11.7 million people.

Sifuna raised six concerns regarding the deployment of Kenyan police to Haiti.

The High Court sitting in Nairobi on October 9, 2023, issued orders stopping the government’s plans to deploy 1,000 police officers to Haiti.

However, the Mugithi singer is majorly focused on his music career, performing in different towns across Kenya and doing music tours across the globe.

In August 2023, curious Kenyans asked Samidoh if he still worked as a police officer after he announced his music tour.

Netizens pointed out that Samidoh was rarely seen at work as a police officer and others questioned if he was still being paid in light of the aforementioned concerns.

Huyu hushika bunduki saa ngapi? Always moving,” Bourneh Masai Eva commented on Samidoh’s post.

Samidoh told off Eva in a quick rejoinder, sarcastically asking her if she was a gun.

Bourneh Masai Eva are you bunduki is bunduki you?” Samidoh posed.

Gachagua warns Samidoh

In January 2023, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua slammed Samidoh for failing the government as a police officer following the drama between his first wife Edday Nderitu and his baby mama Karen Nyamu in Dubai in December 2022.

Karen Nyamu and Edday fought over Samidoh in Dubai.

Gachagua spoke about the drama in Dubai during a funeral where Samidoh was also in attendance.

While addressing mourners in Gatundu during the burial ceremony of Pauline Nyokabi – the elder sister to Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Moses Kuria, Gachagua asked Samidoh to rein in his women and stop embarrassing the country abroad.

Sasa wewe Samidoh ucontrol hii watu wako. Unajua hatutaki wazungu wajue mambo yetu vile tunakaanga hapa. Unajua hii wazungu ni ya mtu moja moja, sasa mukienda huko ikiwa namna hio wanatuelewa sana na hatutaki mambo yetu itoke huko nje. So wewe panga panga mambo yako,” Gachagua said.

The deputy president stated that since Samidoh was a police officer, the government would discipline him if he failed to control his women.

Gachagua elaborated that Samidoh could be restricted from travelling abroad for his shows or if he was allowed to travel he would not be allowed to tag along with his women.

Na ukishindwa because you are one of our officers tutakudiscpline, tutakataza wewe kuenda ng’ambo. Ama kama utaenda, utaenda pekeako ndo tusipate aibu,” Gachagua said.
