It should come as a surprise to absolutely no one that Mugithi maestro Samidoh is making strides to win back his ‘estranged’ wife Edday Nderitu.
In his latest song dubbed ‘Wendo Witu’(Our Love) the artiste born Samuel Muchoki holds himself accountable, as he comes clean about his bad-boy player faults in his failing union.
“Clearly, I’m to blame for our failed love and it pains me that you left,” he sings.
As Samidoh writes his wrongs to a scorned lover, it becomes increasingly clear that he misses his first love.
The father of five begs his wife to remember how far their love has come and not to blow it all away due to a few misunderstandings.
“I’ve been sorry and I still love you. I still hold my promises to you. To take care of you as I assured your parents. Please come back home, let’s raise our babies together.”
The quotes were loosely translated from the Kikuyu song.

Edday confirms breaking up with Samidoh
Edday Nderitu who publicly announced she will not engage in a polygamous marriage called it quits following Samidoh’s enduring involvement with Karen Nyamu.
The mother of three later moved to the US with all her children in early May 2023 noting that she had left her husband to ‘whoever needed him more’.
“Lemmie clarify a few things that were shared online and not accurate…… I am not in any polygamous marriage as stated I left the husband for whoever needed him more,” Edday wrote on Facebook in part.
She explained that she decided to leave Samidoh in order to protect their teen daughter who was a direct recipient of an ‘unbelievable behaviour’ displayed.
“I made a decision to remove myself and my kids from that toxic environment especially my teen daughter who unfortunately is the direct recipient of unbelievable behaviour displayed …” she added.
The mother of three additionally revealed that she had so far solely managed to sustain her children.
“I have managed to sustain my kid’s needs so far with no help and I am not regretting any bit of it. About communication and video calls, I will leave that one there since some people seem to be present when that is happening but I’m not aware.“
Adding;
“In this new season of my life, I don’t need any drama, I need peace only, I hope the next episode of this series my name will be left out. nothingbutprayers #powerofprayers,” she wrote.
Samidoh and Edday Nderitu’s marriage piques interest owing to their continued drama over the years.
The union caught the attention of netizens in 2020 when Samidoh agreed to have an affair with politician and lawyer Karen Nyamu putting a microscope on his once-private relationship.
