Ryan Reynolds celebrated another year around the sun with a stroll through New York City with his Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy.
The Canadian actor turned 47 years old on Monday, when he was spotted having a nice conversation with 55-year-old Levy.
The outing comes just days after a report claimed that Deadpool 3 will likely miss its May 3, 2024 release date, as filming was just halfway completed when the SAG-AFTRA strike began in mid-July.
Reynolds was spotted wearing a white T-shirt under an olive green shirt and a dark blue jacket.
He also wore brown tinted sunglasses while carrying his phone with an olive green back that matched his shirt.

Reynolds completed his look with dark blue pants and white sneakers during his Big Apple walk with Levy.
The director – whose outing with Reynolds, his wife Blake Lively, Hugh Jackman and Taylor Swift sparked rumors that Swift has been cast in Deadpool 3 – opted for a dark blue T-shirt under a black and green flannel.
He also had a silver watch sticking out of his flannel, while he wore a pair of sunglasses similar to Reynolds’.
The flimmaker also wore light blue jeans with rolled up cuffs and completed his look with red and black New Balance running shoes.
While nothing has been made official about Taylor Swift’s casting, The cover I caught up with Levy… who won’t confirm or deny the rumor.
He also doubted that the film could meet its May 3, 2024 release date due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, as the film is not fully ready yet.
When asked about the rumors of Swift being cast as Dazzler, Levy simply said, “They’re definitely loud.”
‘I go across the board. “No comment ’cause that’s a double whammy,” Levy insisted.

“That’s Taylor related. And it’s MCU related. I’m not a dummy. You’ll have to wait and see,” he said.
He was also asked about the plausibility of the highly anticipated sequel, which will place Ryan Reynolds’ title character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for the first time after the first two films were made at 20th Century Fox before Disney acquired the studio.
The film was previously scheduled for release on May 3, 2024, kicking off the summer movie season, but now the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike has made it difficult to determine whether or not the release date could be met.
‘I wish I knew. I don’t even know if we officially have a release date. I know it would be May 3,” Levy said.
“Certainly, the actors’ strike and the long pause in production really put the release date in jeopardy,” Levy added.
‘We shot half the movie. I edited half the film. We are eager to get back to work and release this film next year,” said Levy.
Dazzler was previously played by Halston Sage in the 2019 X-Men film Dark Phoenix.
The character was created as part of a cross-promotional effort with Marvel Comics and Casablanca Records, making her Marvel Comics debut in Uncanny X-Men #130 (February 1980).
The character was born Alison Blaire, who learned as a teenager that she was a mutant with the ability to convert sound waves into beams of light and energy.
