Comedian Rhys Nicholson and his husband Kyran have put their Coburg mansion up for sale with a price quote of $850,000.

The 34-year-old judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under has put the modern two-storey property up for auction, with the hammer expected to fall on May 25.

A bare ‘white on white on white’ house when they renovated it in 2017, Rhys and Kyran haven’t been shy with their weird and wacky renovations, reported Domain last Thursday.

The actor said he did not intend to attract prospective buyers when he designed his home, adding that he wanted to inject his own personality into it.

His biggest change came in the kitchen when Rhys had the space expanded into an ‘expansive’ space with green cupboards, pink walls and three ovens.

“I cook and we enjoy having people over for dinner and having small gatherings, so it just wasn’t conducive to that,” Rhys said.

“We had a few dinners there and it was like, ‘We need to do something about this kitchen.’

Rhys and Kyran also transformed their upstairs bedroom into a spacious living room dubbed ‘the soft room’ because of the luxurious, thick carpet.

Taking their home to the next level with “absurd, stupid decorative things,” Rhys went on to say that his ideal interior style is very “maximalist” with a “healthy mix of functional pieces.”

The mention comes after Rhys and Kyran tied the knot in a bittersweet ceremony late last year, just a few weeks before their boyfriend Cal Wilson passed away.

The comedian, 53, was suffering from a rare and aggressive cancer and was forced to miss the couple’s wedding as she was in the Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown.

Determined to leave a memento for her friends, Cal made an elaborate gift for the couple, who instead took center stage during the ceremony.

The fabulous centerpiece of the wedding day featured a charming Cinderella-style carriage topped by statues of Rhys and Kyran, flanked by their butterfly-adorned initials.

The Melbourne stand-up loved to craft in her spare time, and during the pandemic, intricate headdresses she made from dolls and jewelery became famous.

The gift she made for Rhys and Kyran now serves as a tragic but cherished lasting memory of the couple’s beloved friend.
