Rudy Giuliani slammed Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ for indicting him under the same anti-organized crime laws he had once used to put away Mafia bosses – calling it a “ridiculous” act by an “incompetent, sloppy prosecutor.”

“This is a ridiculous application of the racketeering statute. There’s probably no one that knows it better than I do,” Giuliani, 79,  told Newsmax’s Eric Bolling on “The Balance” late Tuesday.

Giuliani became a feared prosecutor in the 1980s in part from using the Racketeer Influenced and Corruption Organizations laws – known as RICO – to convict organized crime heavyweights like “Fat Tony” Salerno, Carmine “Junior” Persico, and Paul Castellano, among others.

The former New York City Mayor was indicted Monday alongside his client, former president Donald Trump, under Georgia’s RICO laws for allegedly trying to overturn the Peach State’s 2020 presidential election results.

Both he and Trump have denied any wrongdoing.

“I was the first one to use it in white-collar cases, but … This is not meant for election disputes. I mean, this is ridiculous what she’s doing,” Giuliani said of Willis charging him, Trump and 17 others.

“Also, I don’t know if she realizes it because she seems like a pretty incompetent, sloppy prosecutor. I mean what she did … with that indictment is inexcusable. If she worked for me, I would’ve fired her,” he insisted.

At a press conference late Monday, Willis said she intended to try all 19 defendants together, and that they would be given less than two weeks to surrender.

She also confirmed plans to move to trial within the next six months. If approved by a judge, this would make Georgia the first jurisdiction to try a former US president.

Flatbush native Giuliani boasted his tough-on-crime credentials as the former US attorney for the Southern District of New York to be elected mayor in 1994.

He later earned plaudits as “America’s Mayor” for his role in helping the city rebuild after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Ken Frydman, who was campaign press secretary for Giuliani’s 1993 mayoral campaign, told The Post Tuesday that his former boss was “hoist by his own petard.”

“He brought this on himself,” he said.

In a statement following the indictment, Giuliani blasted the charges as “an affront to American Democracy.”

“It’s just the next chapter in a book of lies with the purpose of framing President Donald Trump and anyone willing to take on the ruling regime,” he said of his client, who has now been indicted four times this year alone.

“They lied about Russian collusion, they lied about Joe Biden’s foreign bribery scheme, and they lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive proving 30 years of criminal activity.

“The real criminals here are the people who have brought this case forward both directly and indirectly.”

In addition to Giuliani, former Trump attorneys John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis and Kenneth Chesebro are among the charged.
