Roy Keane has come down hard on Manchester United after Liverpool scored twice just before half-time to turn around the FA Cup tie at Old Trafford.

Scott McTominay put United ahead after 10 minutes, and the Red Devils looked all the more likely to score a second – before Alexis Mac Allister’s deflected effort headed home after 44 minutes.

Until then it had been a positive display from the Red Devils, who at the start of this match had not lost a home FA Cup match against Liverpool in more than 100 years.

But United’s defensive shortcomings crept in in the latter stages of the second half.

The warning signs came after Wataru Endo had a goal disallowed for marginal offside on Salah.

They then collapsed to Mac Allister’s deflected effort and Salah’s goal on the rebound from Andre Onana’s save, giving the Reds the lead.

Rashford recently hit out at people who doubted his commitment to the Red Devils after a difficult season.

He told the Players’ Tribune: ‘Listen, I’m not a perfect person. When I make a mistake, I’m the first to raise my hand and say I need to do better.

‘But if you ever question my commitment to Man United, then I have to say so.

“It’s like someone is questioning my entire identity and everything I stand for. I grew up here. I have been playing for this club since I was a boy. My family turned down life-changing money when I was little so I could wear this badge.”
