Roxy Jacenko reveals the difference between buying a chicken in Australia and Singapore: ‘No one wants it now’

Roxy Jacenko shared a hilarious video on social media on Thursday to highlight the difference between buying a chicken in Australia and Singapore.

The 43-year-old PR guru posted a short clip on Instagram, showing her terrified son Hunter, 10, running from their kitchen in fear.

The blonde beauty captioned the clip with some hilarious words: ‘Basically dying. So Hunty wanted chicken soup.

‘The catch is if you buy a “chicken” here, it comes complete with head and legs. No one wants chicken soup right now.”

Roxy is then heard asking him, “What did you just see?” and he responded with a scream.

Her post highlighted a cultural difference in the way food is prepared in Australia versus Singapore.

The entrepreneur, who is currently in Sydney for the launch of her latest bootcamp, settled in the Southeast Asian country six months ago and has been living it in style ever since.

She moved there with her husband Oliver Curtis and their two children: daughter Pixie, 12, and son Hunter.

Earlier this month, Roxy revealed she will never return to Sydney.

‘I have no plans to come back. I’m sorry to say,” she told Daily Mail Austraila.

‘I love Australia. Do not get me wrong. It’s so nice to look at the ocean and have that opportunity. But I love being so close to all the different places.

‘Since I’ve been to Singapore, I’ve traveled to Thailand, Vietnam and India. We are so far away from everything in Australia. Suddenly my life has become a lot more colorful. I can discover and do different things.’

The Sweaty Betty founder revealed in June that she would be leaving her hometown of 43 years to join her husband in Singapore, where he works in finance.

At the time of her move, Roxy admitted that her life in Sydney is a big difference to her upcoming new life abroad.

“No one knows me there, no one has any preconceived idea of ​​who or what I am, no one has any expectations, and best of all, no one cares!” she told the Sydney Morning Herald at the time.
