Robert Irwin is spotted at Brisbane Airport with girlfriend Rorie Buckey and her parents

It seems things are getting serious for young couple Robert Irwin and his girlfriend, Rorie Buckey. 

The lovebirds, both 19, were spotted walking through Brisbane Airport on Monday with her parents Nathan Buckey and Kate Ledger – as well as her twin sister Scarlett – after the clan met his family at Australia Zoo. 

Rorie’s family is based in Perth and were seen catching a flight back to Western Australia after staying at the Queensland zoo. 

Rorie’s mother Kate is late actor Heath Ledger’s sister. 

On Monday evening, Rorie and Robert made their red carpet debut at the star-studded Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning premiere in Sydney. 

For the Airport appearance, Wildlife Warrior Robert ditched the khaki and opted for a long sleeve navy T-shirt and dark jeans. 

He wore a face mask for his flight to Sydney while Rorie wore a beige sweater and trousers. 

Kate meanwhile looked chic in a pair of brown trousers with a blue shirt and a mustard jumper tied over her shoulders.

Their outing comes after news Robert is reportedly planning to pop the question to Rorie after several months of dating.

According to New Idea magazine, protective mother Terri has concerns that her lovestruck son, 19, and his smitten girlfriend will rush down the aisle too early.

‘Terri feels like Robert is moving way too fast,’ a source told the publication.

‘Rorie’s a sweetheart and it’s easy to see why he is absolutely smitten, but Terri knows the stakes are high,’ they added.

The publication also claimed Robert is a ‘romantic’ who is hoping to emulate his mother’s quick engagement to her late husband Steve after just eight months of dating in 1992.

Robert and Rorie, who is the niece of legendary Australian actor Heath Ledger, are currently in a long-distance relationship, with Robert based at Australia Zoo in Queensland while Rorie is in Perth.
